Align is a restorative, evidence-informed lifestyle medicine retreat created exclusively for women working in medicine.

Designed to support CME learning while prioritising personal wellbeing, Align brings together clinical education and embodied self-care in a setting that allows you to truly reset.

Across four inspiring days, you’ll engage in expert-led lectures and workshops covering all the core pillars of lifestyle medicine, alongside yoga, breathwork, guided sauna, coaching, and intentional rest –  thoughtfully structured to support sustainable health, nervous system regulation, energy restoration.

Set within the beautiful natural sanctuary of Kimi Ora, Align offers a space to step out of the constant demands of work, and reconnect with your body, energy, and purpose among peers who understand the realities of being a woman in medicine.

This is not about escaping from life.
It’s about creating lasting alignment.

Meet the facilitators

Places on this retreat are strictly limited to keep it an intimate, meaningful experience – make sure you buy tickets early so you don’t miss out!

Our Vision

To support women in medicine to thrive – not just endure – by integrating lifestyle medicine into both clinical practice and personal life, in a way that is realistic, evidence-based, and deeply human.

Our Values

  • Science with soul – grounded in robust evidence, delivered with compassion
  • Sustainability – health practices that work long-term, not just on retreat
  • Integrity – clinical credibility, professional respect, and personal truth
  • Connection – to self, body, nature, and a community of like-minded women
  • Rest as medicine – recovery as a prerequisite for clarity, leadership, and care

Our Core Beliefs

  • Women in medicine deserve the same level of care they provide to others
  • Burnout is not a result of personal failure, but from a system and life mismatch
  • Lifestyle medicine is most powerful when it is embodied and modeled, not just taught
  • Health, leadership, and longevity are built on energy regulation, and supporting our own health, not constant performance
  • When female doctors are well, patients, families, communities and systems benefit too – we need to keep our own cup full to be able to help and care for others to our full potential

Our Intention

Align is intentionally designed to help you:

  • Translate lifestyle medicine science into sustainable practices for both personal wellbeing and patient care
  • Restore the physical and emotional reserves that are so often drained from working in medicine
  • Reconnect with your body’s signals and needs to be able to support true health
  • Integrate lifestyle medicine principles into daily life—so it’s not just theory
  • Create space for clarity, reflection, and recalibration in a supportive, collaborative environment
  • Leave resourced and inspired, not depleted

Every element of the retreat – from the schedule to the setting – is designed to honour nervous system regulation, cognitive load, and the realities of medical work.

The Energy

At Align, energy is understood in a practical, physiological, and emotional sense.

We focus on:

  • Physical energy: metabolic health, sleep, movement, nutrition, recovery
  • Emotional energy: boundaries, stress physiology, mental load, and meaning
  • Capacity, not productivity: learning how to protect and renew energy so it can be directed where it matters most—clinically and personally

The practices you experience are the same ones you can later recommend, model, and sustain.

Why We Value Authenticity

This retreat is created by women who understand medicine, for women who live it.

No performative wellness.

No unrealistic expectations.

No pressure to be anything other than where you are.

Align honours your full identity – clinician, woman, leader, human – and creates space for honest reflection, grounded growth, and genuine renewal.

What The Retreat Involves:

Over the course of 4 days, you’ll embark on a transformative journey through the science and core principles of lifestyle medicine.

Topics will include habit change, evidence-based nutrition, physical movement, sleep, stress management, social connection, and the impact of harmful substances.

In addition, you’ll also explore value setting; how to identify limiting beliefs; nervous system regulation; ways to create alignment and purpose in both your professional and personal life; and understanding what true self-care means for clinicians.

The retreat will feature small group coaching, yoga, mindful movement, guided sauna, and breathwork sessions – you can join as many or as few of the wellbeing classes as you choose.

You will discover not only to learn how to live a healthier life but also to directly experience the nourishing effects of caring for your body and mind.

Our goal is to equip you with the tools and knowledge to implement lifestyle medicine principles, both in your personal life and within your practice.

We understand the unique challenges of being women in medicine, and our aim is to ensure you leave feeling inspired, rejuvenated, and with a renewed sense of clarity, purpose, and alignment that you can carry into every aspect of your life.

Kimi Ora Eco Resort is a beautiful private resort, tucked away amongst amongst 12 hectares of native bush with panoramic views of Kaiteriteri Beach.

Kimi Ora means seek health in the Maori language and that’s the philosophy that drives Kimi Ora’s host and founder Dietmar Glaser.

Originally from Germany, Dietmar has had a life-long passion for health so when he moved to New Zealand with his family in 1984 he set about developing a place where people could nurture and strengthen their health through organic vegetarian food, exercise and relaxation.

Close to the Abel Tasman National Park, Kimi Ora chalets offer peace, seclusion with all the modern comforts.

Resort facilities include:

  • A heated indoor pool for year-round comfort
  • A refreshing outdoor pool
  • An indoor and an outdoor spa pool to unwind and rejuvenate
  • Infrared sauna, dry sauna, and steam room sessions for deep relaxation
  • A full day spa, offering massages, facials and beauty treatments (additional charges apply, we recommend booking these well in advance due to limited availability)
  • Private nature walks, with a variety of trails through tranquil native bush – often in the company of friendly fantails who flit and flutter nearby.

Dr Morgana Woolhouse-Williams

Dr-Morgana-Woolhouse-Williams

Morgana is a rural general practitioner and FRANZGP working in Aotearoa New Zealand who knows what it’s like to hold responsibility, complexity, and constant demand – and to still want a life that feels spacious. A GP teacher; trained yoga teacher; and mother of two children, she understands “busy” from the inside: the clinic, the call, the logistics, the mental load, the love.

Yoga, breathwork, mindful movement and the principles of lifestyle medicine aren’t side hobbies for Morgana; they’re daily practices that keep her grounded, clear, and kind in the work she loves.

Morgana brings lived experience and wisdom into everything she teaches, and has additional postgraduate training in Lifestyle Medicine, professional coaching, CBT, and FACT.

At this retreat, she offers nervous-system friendly yoga, breath and meditation, and coaching that helps you make sustainable changes – not by adding more “shoulds”, but by building steadiness from the inside out and developing clarity as to what you really want.

Morgana believes in making wellbeing skills usable in busy, imperfect lives – and in the imperfect time you actually have.
